  Went for afternoon tea and found it a lovely experience from start to finish. Food and the surroundings were superb.
  The icing on the cake was having a show around of the property and grounds by the 1st class Andrew who took time be our guide.

  We went for Sunday lunch on 5th March. Food was lovely - although we weren't served (or indeed offered) any side dishes or condiments which we later saw being served to others. We asked to have drinks and petit fours in one of the lounges (We struggled to find somewhere to sit as every available table was being set for afternoon teas and were reserved) but had to remind them twice, unfortunately we were then given a plate of biscuits as the waiting staff didn't know what petit fours were (even though they are on the menu). When they finally arrived it was a disappointing plate with one single chocolate covered sponge each.
  The building and surroundings are beautiful, but I think the staff require more training in the art of customer service and attention to detail.

  Outstanding - we had to change our booking twice, and even though we were on a cheap Secret Escapes deal we were treated as though we were the most important guests while rearranging. First-class service on arrival; beautiful room; personal touches (birthday card); excellent food - I could go on. Just go there and see for yourself.
